No, but my room is infested with spiders. I've killed several small ones that had the misfortune of cralling on me.

Very cool, while you're at it, find a spider weaving a web.
We have a couple different kinds: the clearish ones like Steve showed and brownish ones that are bigger. They aren't really THAT common. In nearly six years here, I've found them in my house about six or seven times total.
They're not fatal unless you're allergic or possibly to a newborn. Most household animals won't die from a sting unless they're very small. The stings are extremely painful, though.
When I was in basic training at Ft. McClellan, Alabama, we had wood scorpions and those bastards were nastier than anything we've got in AZ.

I tried to get the wife to let me have one after I got my spider. she absolutely refused
ever find any, and I dont know how to spell this, heala monsters in your place Dion?
Gila monsters. Yep, you don't find 'em in the city, but out in the mountains, they're there. I don't fuck with those things, dude, they're mean-tempered.
d
they're bad ass looking though! saw some thing on tv once where they were attracted to people's yards because of the pools. origionally thought they were smaller than the ones they should on the program! cool looking big ol' poison lizard!

...Jeff said the same thing, then we brought over a black light to scope out his backyard. The one in the pictures, was hanging out on the top of his wall. Gotta figure you'd see a few out at night like that.
...but, when we looked around that decorative rock pile in the far left corner of the yard, we found a half dozen more just sittin' there.
...Chris, being the mental case that he is, caught three of them, then started to dismantle the rock pile. By just lifting a few rocks, we saw dozens inside the pile, maybe even as many as a 100.
...my advise to people who live near scorpions, spider and snakes...lose the decorative rock piles, or any structure where small creatures can crawl in, under, around, or through!
...and you may end up being just as lucky as Dion and only find one a year in your house.

...eh, black widows are easy to find, they're everywhere!
...we normally fly when going to Tempe, but this trip, we drove to bring some fragile cargo with us. When we were almost through New Mexico, I stopped to take a photo of the days sun rise. My partner Chris, was nosing around on the side of the roadway. He came across a chunk of truck tire, picked it up, turned it over and there way a big juicy Black Widow spider.
...he can find shit, anywhere!
